ALLIGATORWEED

Alligatorweed can form large dense mats that may impair access and use of a water body. It is very widespread. It is an aggressive introduction from South America that can spread rapidly. It bears small white flowers. Alligatorweed is somewhat difficult to control. Repeat treatments are often required to achieve the desired level of control and it can grow back rapidly. Rodeo or AquaPro and Cide-Kick may give limited control. Renovate is much better but also more expensive. Cutting is sometimes quite effective on limited patches. Use the Water Weed Cutter III or Aquatic Weed Eradicator.
