ELODEA

Elodea is very similar in appearance to hydrilla and egeria but is considerably smaller in size. Please see Table 1 for a comparison. The leaves are in whorls of 3, bright green and narrowly elliptic to oblong, about ¼ to 2/3 inch long and 1/10 inch wide. Small white flowers are produced about 1/6 to 1/3 inch in diameter and are seen from mid-summer to early fall. Best control materials include Aquathol Super K, Reward and Sonar AS.
