FRAGRANT WATER LILY

Fragrant Water Lily is a perennial rooted plant with leaves and flowers arising directly from rooted rhizomes. The leaves are usually 6-12 inches wide, green above and purplish beneath. They usually float on the surface of the water and are deeply cleft almost to the center. The flowers are showy, solitary, fragrant, floating and 3-5 inches wide. The petals are numerous and white, and there are many yellow stamens. Most common control method is Navigate Granular Herbicide or spraying with a mixture of Rodeo or Shore-Klear plus Cide-Kick. Many people prefer to cut them off below the water with a Water Weed Cutter II.
