Maidencane
is a common shoreline grassy emergent that frequently grow in dense stands.
The stems grow about 2.5 feet tall. The leaf blades are 6-10 inches long
and ½ inch wide, tapering to the end. The flowering spike is narrow and
rather one-sided up to 8 inches long. It grows in shallow waters. Control
is with Rodeo, AquaPro or Shore-Klear plus Cide-Kick as a spray additive.
